Restaurant Tycoon 2: Cafe Update
It's time to get brewing
We are on a long streaks of weekly updates to Restaurant Tycoon 2. You would have to go back to the 15th October 2022 to find a weekend where the game hasn't been blessed with brand new content. The additions to the game this weekend certainly don't disappoint!
Firstly, we've added a few different varieties of coffee and hot drinks to the game:
- Cappuccino
- Latte
- Flat white
- Hot chocolate
Perfect for creating a café where customers can opt for more than just the regular bog-standard "coffee"! Additionally, we've added a few café-themed food delicacies for customers to snack on, including:
- Caramel Shortbread (Australian Menu)
- Bagel (European Menu)
- Blueberry Muffin (American Menu)
- Chocolate Muffin (American Menu)
Arguably one of the most exciting additions is support for Food Display Cabinets. These are small display units where the player can customize exactly what type of food is on display. It supports all standard food items in the game, as well as any custom pizzas, smoothies or ice creams that the player has created.
We believe this gives players the chance to display their individuality and showcase whatever they feel makes their restaurant special.
Finally, we've added a few furniture items to make it much easier to build a café!

- Teapot
The text on the chalkboard is fully customizable, allowing the player to give it their own touch.
